Convert value

The Convert value node as it appears in the workflow editor.

What it does

Convert between text, numbers, yes/no values, and Discord IDs.

BotFrame converts the input to the selected kind of value. Yes/no values become true or false text, lists and collections become compact text, and Discord IDs accept digits only. If a number or ID cannot be converted, that workflow path stops and reports the problem.

Typical use

Convert text into a number or Discord ID before connecting it to a node that expects that kind of value.

How to use it

  1. Add it from DataOpen the node library and choose Convert value from Data.
  2. Connect the workflow pathConnect Flow in from the previous step and Flow to the next step.
  3. Choose settings and connect valuesSet Apply to, Value. Connections can also supply values produced by earlier nodes.

Settings

These are the options shown when you add this node. A connected value can replace a setting when the workflow runs.

Value connections

Value connections pass information between nodes without changing the order of the workflow. When an input is not connected, BotFrame uses the value selected in the node or details from the starting Discord event when available.
